artist influence

When I started doing art, I only focused on improving my skills and figuring out what style I liked the best. I only focused on art history or any artist that would influence me in my art in my junior year in high school. My visual art teacher, Rodrigo Oliva, became one of the artists who influenced my artwork and introduced me to more artists like Saturno.

Rigo

Rigo works with all kinds of mediums and is constantly experimenting and finding new mediums to work with. His work combines surrealism with the cultures he grew up with. This inspired me to try throughout my artwork and my artist's career. I like interpreting cultural events and stories through art in any shape or form. Another thing that influences me about his art is his combining surrealism and pop art with dramatic light and colorful art. I love that style, and it is implemented in my work.

Saturno

Rigo also introduced me to Saturno, whose art is similar to Rigo's; however, the content of his work is surrounded by a peculiar fantasy setting. Slimy monsters, aliens, and mutants from other worlds, he produces his ideas by painting, including color and a chromatic color scheme. Neon lights, backlight effects, fog, and textures. Something that I really enjoy seeing on any artwork and try to employ in my art.
